The 2023 Methodist Services’ Happy Harvest Parade. One of our favorite community events … can you tell?!

We are blessed! Special thanks to longstanding friends St. Luke United Methodist Church in Bryn Mawr, for investing $3,500 in Methodist Services’ Quads transitional housing for young adults in need of stable housing to help ensure self sufficiency. Sending appreciation to Pastor Mark Salvacion, Jim McDermott and Lauri Cumming. Thank you for honoring us at a recent service & community potluck!

Longtime Community Partner Foster Angels On Earth (FAOE) sponsored a fabulous Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner for Tilden Middle School families. FAOE brought wonderful, welcoming volunteers, delicious full meals for 50 people & gracious hospitality.

As part of the Community Schools program, Tilden now offers Case Management & Attendance Case Management Services through Methodist Services. These are fully confidential services that include:

• Individualized Family Support

• Social Service Navigation & Health Support

Professional Boxer Jesse Hart partnered with Philabundance, Edward Gideon Elementary School and Methodist Services to give 250 turkeys and chicken baskets to students and families. We are so grateful!

We are thankful! Methodist Services' staff & The Gateway School families collected over 500 canned goods for families at Tilden Middle School. How generous!

Community Partner Penn Towne Chapter of The Links continues their generous collaboration by donating Thanksgiving dinners for 40 households to prepare in their residences. The Links make a mighty difference in the lives of our residents, year round!

Fall at Methodist Services! Methodist Services’ Educare Learning Center students, infants thru Kindergarten, pose with the pumpkins at our Heritage Farm. Our students were so excited to see grown-ups all over campus in pink. Breast Cancer Awareness Month, held in October every year, aims to promote screening and prevention of the disease, which affects one in eight women in the United States every year and 2.3 million women worldwide.

Brown Bag on Methodist Services' Heritage Farm! Staff welcomed Fall with apple cider, caramel apples, pumpkin & sweet potato pies, plus farm to table veggie plates & hummus. We chatted, chewed & connected under the beautiful blue skies.

Methodist Services’ Community Counseling Services (CCS) staff visited an alpaca farm, followed by a lovely lunch afterwards. A great time was had by staff and, we hope, the alpacas, as well.

CCS provides outpatient mental health treatment to Northampton County and the surrounding areas. For more information, call 866-880-7927.

From Heritage Farm - Farm Manager, Ryan Curran:

"Last Heritage Farm share of the season for residential families, which has been going on since mid-July. Broccoli & cabbage will rebound from a recent frost & get a little sweeter since they produce more sugar to reduce their freezing points. Sweet potatoes will cure for 2 weeks, post harvest, to set their skins & to add sweetness. Salad continues growing in our high tunnels to supply Educare children’s lunches through December."
