Unforgettable afternoon! 76ers Annual Holiday Hoopla! 25 Methodist Services' youth were invited to "Become a 76er for the Day!" They signed a one-day contract, received custom jerseys, played basketball at the practice facility in Camden NJ and received gifts from their Holiday Wish Lists! Bringing joy into the hearts of many!

We are grateful for the generous contributions made in support of Methodist Services’ 2024 Toy, Gift & Gift Card/Year-end Drive! Holiday and year-end donors contributed thousands of toys, gifts, gift cards & clothing to help make 2024 the most successful yet! Supporters donated more than $35,922 in cash, $352,055 in inkind donations, and an additional 427 gift cards totaling $8,510. Methodist received the following from long-term community partners: individualized child/teen-requested Holiday Wish List Bags stocked with toys, clothing & gifts: Foster Angels on Earth (750 plus 30 contractor bags full of toys & games), Penn Towne Chapter of The Links (50) and Oxford UMC (25).

Parkesburg UMC & Faith Community UMC Atglen church congregants purchased, assembled & delivered Personal Care Bags for Methodist Services’ residents (50), along with donating Target Gift Cards (100). Parkesburg UMC and Faith Community UMC Atglen also delivered several hundred Christmas toys, gifts and gift cards for children, teens & families. St. Luke UMC provided us with Target, Old Navy & Walmart Gift Cards (97), while Ardmore UMC donated Target & Other Gift Cards (50) and Eastwick UMC donated a Variety of Gift Cards (37) along with toys and gifts.

Methodist Staff arranged drop offs & pickups with 90 churches, nonprofits, other organizations and individual donors. For the past 5 years, former residents and families of former residents have continued to purchase generous gifts and gift cards to “give back what we or our family members have received.”

Sending deepest appreciation to our long-time community partner Foster Angels on Earth, Inc. for fulfilling and assembling Holiday Wish List Gift Bags for hundreds & hundreds of Methodist Services' children & teens! Always going above and beyond!

We went old school! Best time! Methodist Services' Management Team Holiday Brunch...delicious food, fun games, cookie exchange, re-gift gift swap, music, lots of laughs & good times together! We are Methodist Services. Doesn't get any better!

Big shout out to our longtime community partner Penn Towne Chapter of The Links for donating and assembling 50 Holiday Wish List Bags to Methodist Services' children & youth. You help us to bring happiness to many during the Christmas season!

Methodist Services was invited to help Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) celebrate 125 years of service. Participating residents received Health Kits, a $125 supermarket gift card & optional blood pressure screening. We appreciate you, PCOM!

Methodist Services celebrated with Andrea Kramer, wife of former Board member Lee Rosengard, and Michal Smith, Executive Director of Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia, as they accepted the 2024 Volunteer Excellence Award and the 2024 George Bonadio Leadership Award, respectively. High Street Philadelphia provided a spectacular venue with great small bites & refreshments. Thanks to our 40 Board members, community partners & leadership for joining the festivities! Fabulous evening!

From Heritage Farm - Farm Manager, Ryan Curran

"Winter on the Farm. Winter for a Farmer is a time for rest and reflection. A time for rest because over 26 weeks from June through November 7,238 pounds, roughly 3.5 tons of food, were harvested and donated from our small Heritage Farm. A time for reflection because things can be done smarter, more efficiently, and more catered to our community’s needs.

As we go from field to office, I keep those thoughts in mind when planning for next year: ordering seeds and supplies, submitting plant requests to our partners PHS and Carversville Farm Foundation. Now we piece together spreadsheets and field plots, deciding what goes where and how much of it. Additionally, it is time to learn more and implement new strategies.

This winter, I hope to create a more concise curriculum for all our children that visit the Farm. When it's nice enough out, I try to catch up on whatever needs to be fixed on the Farm."
