Motorcar Classics is proud to present this beautifully restored 1970 Chevelle SS396. The SS396 is powered by the Chevrolet's Big-Block 396CI V8 rated at 350hp. It is reported that the block is a period correct replacement 396. It has the optional Heavy-Duty 4-speed manual transmission and 12-Bolt Posi-trac rear differential. It is featured in Tuxedo Black metallic paint with White SuperSport stripes. It also has the optional Cowl Induction hood with working flapper.
In the cabin you will find a beautiful White Bucket seat interior with full factory console, commanding Hurst shifter and all factory gauges including 7,000 RPM Tachometer and 120 MPH Speedometer. The interior also features the original SuperSport Tilt steering wheel and upgraded Kenwood AM/FM/Tape stereo. Further options include fast-ratio power steering and Power Disc Brakes. The engine compartment is detailed to show standards. The car rides on SuperSport Rally wheels w/ BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. It has a custom Stainless Steel dual exhaust system with Equal-length Headers and it sounds incredible. Check out the video link below to hear the great sound.
