DDD service providers and community vendors will be there to speak to you about what they offer and answer questions that you have.

Family Networking Sessions: Fall 2023

The Office of Education on Self-Directed Services is now hosting networking sessions for people and families who are self-directing or interested in self-direction. Family Networking Sessions are hosted by the Division of Developmental Disabilities and facilitated by staff with the Office of Education on Self-Directed Services.



Please email the Office of Education on Self-Directed Services at DDD.OESDS@dhs.nj.gov to RSVP, and be sure to include the date(s) of the Family Networking Session(s) you are interested in attending.

October is here, and it's Down Syndrome Awareness Month! This is a time to recognize, celebrate, and advocate for individuals with Down syndrome.


Why Down Syndrome Awareness Month Matters


  • Promote Inclusion: Support inclusive communities, education, and workplaces.
  • Educate: Challenge stereotypes and spread awareness about the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome.
  • Advocate: Rally for policies that protect the rights of individuals with Down syndrome.
  • Celebrate: Celebrate their achievements, talents, and the love they bring to our world.

Get Involved


  • Wear Blue and Yellow: Show support by wearing the official colors.
  • Share Stories: Share stories on social media to raise awareness.
  • Attend Events: Join local awareness events and webinars.
