From the Lake Crystal Area Chamber . . .


Most of you know that last week the Chamber Director, 
Julie Reed retired after 15+ years. Thank you so much for the great response at her celebration. It was a wonderful day with great food, friends and of course... "lots of stories."

With that said, the Chamber Board of Directors is currently seeking another Director. If you are someone that loves 
Lake Crystal, working with some wonderful businesses, would like to get involved on community events and willing to shout the praises of our community, we'd love to hear from you.

If you are interested in this position - the Chamber Board would love to talk with you.

 is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day

From Palmer Bus Service: "This day is dedicated to recognizing the school bus drivers who safely transport students to and from school, activities, and events—often in all weather and at all hours.

We’ve attached a ready-to-use image that can be shared on social media to help recognize and thank these drivers. A simple post or shout-out goes a long way in showing appreciation for the important role they play in our communities.

We appreciate any help sharing this message with your members and on your social platforms.

Crystal Loon Lake Rec Association invites you to their

Annual Fish Fry Fundraiser

Join us for a fish fry fundraiser hosted by Crystal Loon Lake Recreation on Saturday, February 28 at the Lake Crystal Legion


The event will run from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (or until we run out of fish).

Menu & Pricing:

Enjoy beer-battered fish, sides, bread, coffee, and milk for $16.00 per person.

Children under 12 eat for $8.00, and children 5 and under eat free.

All proceeds will support the maintenance and future replacement of aeration pumps for Crystal and Loon Lakes. These pumps play a vital role in preventing fish winterkill by maintaining oxygen levels in these shallow lakes.

Crystal Loon Lake Recreation, founded over 30 years ago, collaborated with the DNR to install and monitor this essential aeration system. In addition to maintaining the pumps, the group ensures thin ice warning signs are posted for safety. As the current system ages, funds raised will help with upkeep and the eventual installation of a new system.

We also invite you to join our efforts! Membership is open, and those interested in becoming a member are encouraged to contact President Ron Teigen at rteigen@hickorytech.net. We look forward to seeing you there!
