Attendance + Effort= Success
A student’s attendance is critical for their success. Peachtree Ridge High School starts promptly at 7:10 am. Please visit our Attendance Office website for more information about critical attendance policies. For attendance questions and to submit excused absent/tardy notes, please email PRHS.Attendance@gcpsk12.org.
Starting Monday, August 16th, all students arriving late to school will receive an unexcused tardy pass. Students who arrive late to school via bus will be given an excused bus pass. In addition, students will continue to be required to visit tardy stations throughout the day when late to class. Due to the increased number of students and the size of our building we have increased our class transition time to six minutes. Please visit our attendance office website to review our policy and procedure related to school and period attendance.

We are seeing many students arrive to school in clothing that is not appropriate. As we continue to pursue the standard of excellence, we ask our students to dress for success. Please make sure your student attends school in clothing that covers their chest, stomach, bottom, upper thighs, and undergarments. In addition, head coverings are not allowed at Peachtree Ridge High School unless for religious purposes. To review our dress for success plan please click here.

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
While meals will be provided at no charge for all students this school year, families whose students would be eligible for meal support in a typical year, should complete the free/reduced-price meal application as soon as possible.
Confirmed eligibility for free/reduced-price meals ensures access to many benefits beyond school meals (free AP Exams, free SAT/ACT, free college applications, free/reduced internet, additional technology for schools, training/resources for parents to use at home, etc.). It is important that these forms be renewed each year for students who are eligible. More information can be found GCPS School Nutrition Page.

Reasons to Keep Your Child Home from School
You should keep your child at home if he/she might spread an illness to other children. Children who are sick have a difficult time participating in class and learning. Click here to learn more about symptoms to keep your child home.

Student Accident Insurance
Student Accident Insurance, which provides coverage specifically for accidental injuries, is made available through our partnership with K & K Insurance. The plan, which has several coverage options, is best used as a supplement to your child’s existing insurance policies. Because GCPS does not cover injuries that occur at school, we encourage parents to consider this reasonably priced insurance product.

Google Workspace for Education
G Suite for Education is a set of education productivity tools from Google including Calendar, Docs, Slides, and more. Students will use their G Suite accounts to complete assignments, communicate with their teachers, and sign into the chromebooks. All student information is safe and secure within the GCPS domain. Students will still need to keep up with their school email accounts for important information from PRHS. Our mission is to provide and foster the 21st-century digital citizenship skills needed for students of the future.
