CURRICULUM OFFICE
Halfway through Second Quarter
Parents, we are over halfway through the second quarter! Please frequently check your child's grades in your parent portal so that you can be well aware of their progress! We will not be sending home progress reports.

 

You can use the new ParentVUE app for even easier access!
End Of Course Tests
The State Board of Education (SBOE) agreed with State School Superintendent Richard Woods’ recommendation of a .01% weight for each assessment. There is a legally required 30-day window for public comment on the recommendation before an official approval by the SBOE in December. Students are still required to take the End of Course assessment in order to receive credit for the following courses we will be administering:

· November 30 - December 2 - American Literature and Composition/11th Grade
· December 7 – US History
· December 9 - December 10 – Algebra I
· December 14 - December 15 - Biology
PRIDE Changed to 12/3


Due to the 11th LA EOC being administered 11/30 - 12/2
PRIDE will meet on Thursday 12/3. On Thursday 12/3, we will follow the PRIDE Bell Schedule. 
Upcoming Virtual Freshman Night
In order to continue the support of our 9th grade students, we are releasing a “Virtual Freshman Night” video on Thursday, December 10th. The video will be released on our website, and we plan to cover topics regarding registration and students returning in January. If you have any additional questions you would like for us to answer, please complete the Freshman Parent Question Form by December 2nd and we will film responses for you. Thank you!
Mane Event: Online Spirit Wear
Show your school spirit! You now have the option to purchase PRHS spirit wear online just in time for the holidays! The Peachtree Ridge Lions Online Spirit Store will be available from now until Tuesday, December 1st at 11:59PM. All purchases made can either be shipped to the school and picked up in The Mane Event or you can select ship to an address for an additional charge.

SPORTS
Boys & Girls Soccer Conditioning
Boys & Girls Soccer Conditioning begins Tuesday 12/1 from 2:30-3:30pm. You must be fully cleared in Dragonfly to participate. Girls will meet on the back practice field. Boys will meet on the stadium blacktop surface on the far end of the stadium.  
Blue Pride
Congratulations to Varsity Blue Pride as they took on some of the toughest teams in the state and placed 2nd at the Lanier Invitational this past Saturday! Senior, Valerie Garces (flyer) was the athlete of the week!

Varsity Blue Pride hits the mat again this Saturday (21st) at Mill Creek HS. Please come out and cheer on your seven-time state champions at 1:30 pm.

Education Pathway Senior Scholarship

Attention past and present Education Pathway students!!!
The Education and Pathway scholarships for seniors planning to pursue a degree in education are OPEN. These are limited to ECE and TAP students. If you know of a senior who is interested but he or she took TAP or ECE last year, the student is still eligible to apply.  The deadline for submitting the applications is December 15, 2020. Please encourage interested students to visit https://tinyurl.com/FutureTeacher2020 or the GCPS Foundation website.

If your student would like to check out books this semester, we are offering curbside pickup on Fridays from 8am-4pm. We are also delivering books to classrooms for our face-to-face students. Just fill out the following form to order your library books and then put the book on hold in the media catalog (directions on how to do this are in the form):
