Idaho among several states that received nonspecific state capitol bomb threats

Idaho Capital Sun: The Idaho State Capitol in Boise was searched and cleared early Wednesday after Idaho was among several states that received nonspecific, emailed bomb threats that day, Idaho State Police confirmed.


States Newsroom reported that state capitol buildings in Michigan, Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi and Montana also received threats.

"We want women to be able to have these tools."

Three Republican women - former state Rep. and Senate candidate Laurie Lickley, former state Rep. Kelley Packer, and former Senate candidate Tara Malek - in December 2023 founded the Idaho Contraceptive Education Network. The group's goal is to educate Idahoans and policymakers about contraception and how it is different from abortion.

The case Adkins v Idaho revolves around Idaho women who sought abortions outside of the state during medically complex pregnancies. A district judge last week only partially granted a motion from the Idaho Attorney General’s Office to dismiss.
