Reductions in nitrogen loading, metal and organic contaminants, and bacteria pollution are three success stories the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program tells about its watershed in a new synthesis report published in June.

In less than 40 pages, the publication summarizes case studies from the NBEP’s 500-page 2017 State of the Narragansett Bay and its Watershed technical report, showing how the last 50 years of environmental regulations have led to clear water quality improvements for the basin. Read more
