First Tee - Greater Houston

2026 Is Almost Here - Give the Gift of Your Time

Did you know our program is powered by volunteer Coaches? Help us continue growing and getting more kids involved by signing up for one of our volunteer roles!

We’re currently recruiting for Volunteer Assistant Coaches, Volunteer Admin Support, and Volunteer Junior Mentors. Your time and passion can make a huge impact -join us today!

Winter volunteer training will be held December 13th, 11:00-12:00pm at F.M. Law Park.

Our main youth facility sits on a 70-acre property, operating under a long-term lease with the City of Houston that was recently extended through 2044. This gives us the foundation to build something extraordinary, but we need your help to continue changing lives and meet our ambitious fundraising goal to break ground in Spring 2026.

Your contribution does more than build a facility - it invests in the lives of young people and families who call First Tee home. Together, we can create a welcoming space where learning, growth, and community thrive for generations to come. There are many ways, large and small, to donate to help make this vision a reality.

Congratulations to Our First Tee Evans Scholar Selections

We’re excited to announce that after a competitive application and interview process, a group of outstanding First Tee students has been selected to join the new caddie program at Lakeside, BraeBurn, and Pine Forest Country Clubs.

This opportunity is part of a broader national effort led by the Western Golf Association Caddie Academies, which use caddying, the game of golf, and the Evans Scholarship to bring life-changing opportunities to young men and women.

These students will receive professional training, gain valuable work experience, and represent First Tee - Greater Houston as they take the first steps on this meaningful path. We are proud of their dedication and excited to see where this journey leads!

Join us on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at River Oaks Country Club as we honor Steve Timms, a true Game Changer. For 25 years, Steve led the Houston Golf Association and First Tee - Greater Houston.

Honorary Event Chairs, Susan & Tom Forestier invite you to an inspiring program featuring alum speaker Marlon Chapman.

Marlon is a proud First Tee - Greater Houston alum whose experience at the 2008 Life Skills and Leadership Academy - and recognition as the Dr. William J. Powell Leadership Award recipient - helped shape his confidence, leadership skills, and sense of community. Through First Tee, Marlon developed lifelong friendships and discovered his passion for mentorship. Marlon carries these lessons into both his businesses and his growing family.

Secure your table today and help us continue building character and leadership in young people!

Boys and girls ages 8-18 will get 3 minutes to land at least one of five shots in the fairway. Their longest recorded drive becomes their official score.

The top 6 distances will advance to the Longest Drive Championship in February 2026.
