FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR
Our Changing Culture
While we rejoice that Roe v. Wade has been overturned, we realize that abortion in the US has not ended. Challenging and interesting days lie ahead as each state decides on laws regarding abortion. So we must continue to pray, elect men and women who are strongly pro-life, and continue to love and care for mothers and babies. Calvary has a long history of supporting pregnancy resource centers. We will continue to do so through our financial giving and the volunteer efforts of many of you at these centers. As I mentioned last Sunday, I am thankful that a number of Calvary families have adopted children, provided foster care, and continue supporting orphans and widows. What we must not do is join the culture of hate and insults which pervades so much of our society today.

Another moral issue facing us today is the gay and transgender issue. Many of you purchased a copy of Jesus Speaks on Marriage and Gender, which we have newly published at Calvary. If you did not have an opportunity to get a copy last week, you can pick up a copy in the Word Room. Please read it carefully so you are able to interact intelligently with those who may disagree with the biblical teaching. Our goal is to speak the truth in love and to keep pointing everyone to our magnificent Lord Jesus Christ.
