When we are saved, we are received into the family of God. God is our Father, and we are His children. One of the matchless privileges of being a Christian is that we now have brothers and sisters all over the world, as well as in heaven. Healthy families love one another, encourage each other, pray for one another, and build each other up. It is a joy to see this occurring in our local body of Christ at Calvary. I praise God for so many of you who reach out to new people and display the love of Jesus. You invite them to Life Groups, the Wednesday supper and electives, the evening service, and to enjoy coffee in The Gathering, among other opportunities. Many of you invite your brothers and sisters into your home for Christian fellowship and friendship. We are the family of God!
Joining a Life Group, attending a Wednesday elective Bible study, and serving at Calvary are opportunities not only to strengthen our faith but also to make friends. This Sunday, I will challenge everyone to be a servant of the living God!
