We at the Living In Place Institute can only begin to understand what daily life is like now for you, your families and friends, and your clients.
When Louie’s mom was still with us, she lived, with profound hearing loss and cognitive challenges, in an assisted living facility. Louie can only imagine what it would be like now if she were confined to her room with no in-person social interaction with her family or friends. We would guess that she may not have tolerated isolation very well.

This is happening now to many persons in assisted living facilities, persons in independent living locations, and all of us in our own homes.
Now is the time to learn how best to talk with your clients about improvements you may recommend to meet their needs, now and in the future, and bring a sense of comfort and wellness back into their homes.
With challenge comes opportunity. A long time ago a wise person told us, when things are down, it is time to prepare for better times. This is truly the case today. We must all start preparing our businesses to make the phones keep ringing, and for the better times that are on the way.
Planning for Better Times,
While sitting at home.
  • Schedule virtual events with your clients, educating them about improvements that improve the value of their home and improve their overall sense of wellness.

  • Offer to write articles for local newspapers, magazines, and other media outlets with recommendations for their audiences. Offer your expertise to local TV and radio stations for a virtual segment about improving homes for now and the future.

  • Partner with local retailers and distributors to create blogs, newsletters, social media postings, etc., about how we are helping our communities, one home at a time. These partnerships can be very powerful now and in the future.

  • Learn about helping all of your clients meet their current and future needs. Below are educational opportunities you can take now. There are significant discounts for becoming a Certified Living In Place Professional™ (CLIPP™) through the end of May. There are also many other educational and networking opportunities listed.

Network – Network – Network.
Product Solutions
We read about hoarding of many household goods, toilet paper, paper towels, tissue paper, rice and pasta. Now we hear that some of the next big hoarding items include hair-coloring products!

One of the products the Living In Place Institute recommends is a Personal Hygiene (bidet-type) Toilet Seat. For many, these amazing products reduce, or even eliminate, the need for toilet paper. Preliminary s tudies also indicate reduction of urinary tract infections.

These toilet seats combine luxury with convenience, and increase the ability to live at home longer, with dignity and independence.

Recommend these devices for all your clients. Many manufacturers now provide these products, including (in no specific order) TOTO, Kohler, Dignity Solutions , Brindell, and American Standard. They will make a huge difference in your client's lives and benefit your business.
