Join COSA on Tuesday, March 12 for a zoom with special guest Anne Gobi, Director of Rural Affairs in Governor Healey's administration. Director Gobi will give an overview of the office, what has been worked on, and what is coming next. She will also speak to the rural pieces within the Governor’s budget with a focus on the recently filed Municipal Empowerment Act and the alignment with COSA and Hampshire County. Don't miss this opportunity to ensure that the concerns of western Mass nonprofits and their clients are heard by the current administration.

Join community members from around Western Massachusetts as we come together to celebrate our strength and resiliency on Trans Day of Visibility! Featuring a resource AND art fair showcasing affirming and inclusive community based organizations; trans and gender expansive artists displaying and selling their artwork; a gender affirming clothing swap; name change support and legal resources; as well as light refreshments. The event is free and open to youth, families, and community members.

Special Events hosted by Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts: Elected officials play a crucial role in representing and advocating for the needs of their constituents. Similarly, the Community Foundation is deeply invested in addressing the issues and challenges faced by the communities they serve. By working together, we can amplify our collective efforts. CFWM will provide an overview of strategic priority areas and programs, assets, and philanthropic services and discuss where collaboration with elected officials could be beneficial.

Join MA Fair Housing Center on March 27 for the first event in a lecture series: a screening of the recently released documentary, Roxbury, followed by a panel conversation. The panel will feature the voices of local organizers, discussing the historical and contemporary impacts of redlining, gentrification and eviction.

April is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. Join the Children's Advocacy Center of Hampshire County at Childs Park at 5:30 pm on April 11th to help shine a light on this issue in our community. And don't forget to light a luminaria at your home in solidarity with the children they serve. Let your lights shine!
