2022- Hydra-Tech Pumps' 45th Year

Well time flies when you're having fun - that's what they say. The first month of 2022 is already wrapping up. This is Hydra-Tech Pumps' 45th year in existence and we're excited for the year ahead. But let's start with a look back at 2021 before we look ahead to 2022.

We came off of a rough 2020 (like so many other companies did) into 2021 and weren't sure what to expect. We were optimistic that with the vaccines coming down the pike we would get to move on from the pandemic and maybe be "back to normal". We watched as all the trade shows scheduled for the first quarter were either cancelled or pushed back and then cancelled again. But the orders were coming in and it seemed like our customers were ready to get going again, regardless of the state of the pandemic.

In the spring and summer the supply chain started throwing curveballs but we zigged and zagged as needed to keep orders moving out the door. In October we exhibited at the ARA Show in Las Vegas and walked the WEFTEC Show in Chicago. It was nice to be back at trade shows in person but the attendance is still way down due to the pandemic. Also in October Hydra-Tech Pumps had a change in ownership – the sale of the business closed at the end of the month and started November under new ownership. We wrapped up our best year ever and are excited about what 2022 might bring.

With only 3 weeks in 2022 under our belt we have a new sales engineer who started early in the month, and are starting an additional welder / fabricator in the coming weeks. The outlook for 2022 is healthy and it looks like everyone is still fleeting up and investing in the equipment they need to get the job done. In 4 weeks we will be exhibiting at the WWETT Show in Indianapolis for the first time in two years. Back to that pandemic thing that we hoped would be done in late 2021 – we’re now coming up on 2 years since we flew home from Vegas and ConExpo 2020 into the beginning of the shut down in mid-March 2020. Maybe we’ll see if we can get out of this pandemic by the end of 2022.

So once again we want to thank you, our customers, for your part in Hydra-Tech Pumps’ continued success and for pushing us to continue to improve and grow. Cheers to a bang up 2022!

Pump of the Month - S3T

Hydra-Tech Pumps’ most popular hydraulically driven submersible pump is the S3T. The S3T is a field proven pump – a reliable, portable trash pump with good flow and head capabilities. The S3T is able to pass through a 12” opening and is relied on for general purpose dewatering from a construction site to a manhole and many other applications. The S3T pump is available in aluminum, ductile iron and stainless steel.
