Draft CRC Strong Workforce Strategic Plan 2019 Update
Now Available for Review - Comment Period Open Until February 21
st
The CRC is pleased to share the that CRC Draft SWP Strategic Plan 2019 Update is now available for review and comment in advance of submission to the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO).
The CRC is committed to advancing CCCCO Career Education initiatives including the Vision for Success, the Strong Workforce Programs (SWP), Guided Pathways and Doing What Matters for Jobs & the Economy (DWM). The regional plan is a living document which analyzes the CRC’s Sector Profiles and Labor Market Information (LMI) to identify labor market gaps; as well as to identify and solidify the opportunities for growth of existing CTE programs, potential development of new programs, and regional opportunities for collaboration. Driven by higher education, K-12 education, adult education, workforce development, business, industry and community stakeholder to develop a skilled workforce, the CRC strives to capitalize on the SWP funding provided by the State of California to better serve the communities within the Central/Mother Lode Region and the micro-economies.
The draft plan will be submitted to the CCCCO by the end of the month in advance of the Jan 31
st
deadline. However, the comment period will remain open until the February 21
st
