Staff Spotlight
This month we would like to recognize our Case Manager Lydia Bouroumand. Lydia has been working with the Change a Life Foundation to help seniors in need.
LaDon hadn't been able to eat or see clearly for years; due to having broken her dentures and not being able to afford prescription glasses. Proper nutrition, weight loss, and risk of choking were increasing concerns. With the help of the Change a Life Foundation Lydia was able to get her dentures and a pair of prescription glasses! LaDon is now regaining her health and looks great! La Don is extremely grateful to Community Senior Services and Change a Life Foundation for working hard to grant her with these much needed tools to change her life.

We adopted a senior!
Betsy is a 75 year old Claremont resident living with the beginning stages of dementia. She lives alone and recently lost her last relative, her brother. This year, our Enrichment Center decided to "adopt" her. Instead of a gift exchange amongst themselves they decided to purchase gifts for Betsy. Our Enrichment Center participants also reached out into the community for donations. Thankfully, we received clothes, blankets, and over $20o in gift cards to provide Betsy with a very special Christmas.
This is a perfect example of the philosophy of our Enrichment Center, that people living with dementia are still valued members of our community and are able to give back.
