Volunteer January Birthdays!

Carlene Emery January 3rd

Carlene is a faithful Feed the Need volunteer, sorting packing, even picking up food and painting cabinets in the new warehouse!

She has volunteered with FTN for about a year and a half. She is the ONLY VOLUNTEER pantry liaison we have at our 11 schools! She works hard to organize food and distributes it to the students of Browning-Pearce Elementary. She volunteers to have a sense of helping her community and helping children in need. You may not know that Carlene is Florida born and raised, a mother of 2, grandmother of 2. and has been married for 30 years!

Richard Pickis January 28th

Richard has provided so much value to the Feed the Need volunteer team over the past year and a half! He started volunteering for FTN because he decided it was time for him to give back. He often goes above and beyond, when the need to drive to Orange Park, or other places to pick up food arises, he is often one of the first to step up.

He appreciates Putnam County, because he likes the straightforwardness of the people here. Richard has 1 daughter, 1 son, a 12 year old granddaughter and a baby grandson on the way!

Ronnie Tomas January 30th

Ronnie started volunteering with FTN in the beginning (2016). He got to know Denise while volunteering for Bread of Life for 5 years. He has always been drawn to people in need. Being a product of Putnam County Schools he felt a connection to feeding PC students. He feels like he is going full circle. He loves Putnam County because it is the most compassionate, loving, and giving county in Florida. He works 2 jobs and volunteers every chance he gets. Ronnie has worked in the school system as a guidance counselor and as a social worker in his past. He now works with local people in Celebrate Recovery. You never see him without a smile and a laugh.
