Fantastic winter landscape during sunset. colorful sky glowing by sunlight. Dramatic wintry scene. snow covered trees under warm sunlit. Sunlight sparkling in the snow. Splendid Alpine winter

A NEW beginning: 2024 has arrived!

Summit County is not just about breathtaking mountains, world class ski areas, for downhill skiing, cross country skiing or snow shoeing. It is about the connections forged in the Colorado Rockies between our full time residents and our guests that choose Summit County as their destination.

Whether you are a “vacationing guest”, a part time or full time resident…we are all “in this together”! Please be respectful of one another and bring your smile and sparkling eyes wherever you go. I believe we would all benefit from thoughtfulness and kindness, particularly in this Mountain community where we enjoy a lifestyle that focuses on quality of life and lifestyle we can all share

I think it goes without saying that “up here” we have a "lifestyle" that is all inclusive of many people of varied backgrounds who all live in and visit the Mountains of Colorado.

The community and the beauty of this area still make me happy even after 30+ years up here in the “High Country” ..I still LOVE life in “my” mountains and do my very best to preserve that, and ask you to do the same

Some of my favorite stops, stories and “stuff to do”

What is a “shot ski”? Ask our 99 year old resident who joined the annual Ullr Fest longest shotski celebration! When asked why…..the answer was: ”Because I can do it” and “I like Bourbon.” (So here you go, maybe that’s what it takes to become 99 years old).

If you are not familiar with the event (I doubt it!) please "self-educate" yourself by viewing the video I have included...

Where is the Restaurant that celebrated 50 years in business in 2023? Visit the Moose Jaw in Frisco. Thank you Lynda for providing and running a place for friends and visitors to share stories and have a beer and hamburger.

Want a great place for Mexican Food? ..Hacienda Real in Frisco is, in my opinion the best? (Please send me a note if you agree or disagree!)

I love live music (those who know me know this)….I encourage you to check out John Truscelli, Leon Littlebird and Lisa White, Beau Thomas and music at the 6th Alley at Arapahoe Basin or Moe Dixon at JJ’s at Copper Mountain.

And if you enjoy live theater (I love this theater). Check out Theatre SilCO in Silverthorne.

May we all welcome 2024 with a new spirit of engagement, laughter, grace, and joy...and don’t forget to experience ALL that Summit County has to offer. We are very lucky to live here and / or visit Summit!

A special NOTE (In Memory of): I celebrate the Life and Legacy of the co-founder of Keystone resort...Bill Bergman Senior—thank you Bill for your wisdom, history shared and the privilege to have called you my friend! Every time I ski Keystone, I am grateful for You, your wife Jane, Max and Edna the co-founders - you all had a vision to make this place called “Keystone Resort” happen… I will take some turns for each of you knowing your spirits live on in these majestic Mountains!

Market 2023 - looking back, before we look ahead!
