The SER office is currently searching for 3 motivated individuals, eager to learn and grow their list of transferrable skills. While applications close TONIGHT (3/26/24), the start date is August 22, 2024.

SER Ambassador (2 hires): The focus of Ambassadors will be to serve as outreach representatives for the SER at MSU. Strong communication skills are necessary.
$12 / hour
7 hours / week

SER Office Assistant (1 hire): The focus of the Office Assistant will be to contribute to the development and growth of the SER. Strong organizational skills are preferred.
$12 / hour
8 hours / week

Both opportunities offer valuable skill development and the chance to enact meaningful implications for MSU students.

The Spartan Experience Record is a comprehensive dashboard and database of student co-curricular learning experiences. A resume is a curated, targeted document aimed at particular employers or schools. The Spartan Experience Record is meant to enhance a resume, or to be used to help students evaluate their experiences in order to build a stronger resume by highlighting the learning in these experiences.

Want to Suggest an Experience?

You have the power to shape your Spartan Experience Record at any time! Out-of-classroom learning opportunities are always changing and growing at MSU. So, if you're involved in an experience at MSU that is not currently showing up on your SER, we want to add that to the record. Examples of experiences include:

Leadership roles
On-campus jobs
Volunteering
Undergraduate Research
Committees
Student organizations
And more!

Utilize the “Suggest an Experience” form, linked below, where you can share additions that you want to see included in your SER.

The form, asking for information about the suggested experience, can be completed in as quickly as 5 minutes. Then, the SER team will work with faculty & staff to get the experience added and reflected on your SER.
