National Association of REALTORS® Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers compiles annual survey information. For instance, did you know first-time buyers made up 34 percent of all home buyers, an increase from last year’s 31 percent?

For first-time home buyers, 29 percent said saving for a down payment was the most difficult step in the process.

In addition, detached single-family homes are the most common home type for recent buyers at 82 percent.
