Winter Design Labs
Dear 3CSN Wayfinding Community,

This January, we will be providing intensive professional learning labs where you will intentionally design student-centered, equitable, and highly engaging courses.

Professional learning badges will be awarded for completion and may be used for flex credit (check with your campus for eligibility). Learn more and register below!

Each registration covers all parts of the design lab.

Looking for a way to engage and assess students that can showcase their personal and professional growth throughout college and beyond? Want the space to try it out in community with educators across the state?

Join 3CSN coordinators Kelan Koning, Diana Bonilla Hein, and students for this design lab to learn about the various possibilities for, and value of, e-portfolios, and to design an e-portfolio-centered course of your own.

Wix, Google Sites, and Portfolium will be explored as options.

Looking for an equitable alternative to traditional grading? Join Jennifer Escobar (Moreno Valley College) for this timely three-part Zoom series. Sessions will include ungrading classroom assessments, ungrading and your syllabus, and discussing ungrading/grading with colleagues.

We Can Do This: Learning and Teaching Online, through Crisis, and Beyond
 January 19, 21, 26, 28, 3 PM - 4:30 PM
Teaching online? We can do this! Let’s leverage this moment of change in course delivery to get to the core of effective teaching: designing for equity and student engagement. Join 3CSN Coordinators Sarah Sullivan and Nicole Bryant Lescher and faculty colleagues from across the state in this four-part design lab.

We will build relationships and knowledge together, focusing on effective online pedagogy and student-centered active learning, and directly apply our learning and metacognitive reflections to design elements of our fall courses.
