WHAT'S COOKING?
The International Cuisine Cooking Club led by our amazing program staff from SunRidge Middle School has become a virtual success! Club members were able to follow along easily while preparing fun and healthy recipes. A recipe card was included in the meal prep kit, too! It was fun watching the excitement of our members as they learned how to cook vegetable fried rice as an accompanying dish for their family dinner. In fact, our families planned their summer evening meals around this very recipe! Parents were on hand to help and were grateful for the opportunity we provided to teach their children the life skill of cooking. Our families “feed off” of the quality time they share together in the kitchen learning and “dishing” new recipes during our virtual culinary arts platform promoting healthy lifestyles and family engagement. Our participating Club members enjoyed the independence of the virtual activity and eagerly look forward to this week’s upcoming recipe, Apple Turnovers!
