Hello RTT community!
I miss you, the horses and of course my co-workers. I am one of the “lucky” ones who is able to perform 80% of my job from home, on the computer, the phone and through the mail. The other 20% of my time is usually spent at RTT events. Can you guess who I am?*
In addition to RTT events, you might find me meeting with individuals, families or corporate supporters, writing grants and overseeing mail and email appeals. As many of you know, over 70% of our budget is raised each year through individual, corporate and foundation support; and this year, due to COVID-19 related income loss, community support is more important than ever. RTT is fortunate to have so many generous and passionate supporters who have kept our services available and accessible for over 27 years!
During this time of remote work, Nick and I have been working hard on RTT's new website! Hope you'll check it out at
ridingtothetop.org
and let us know what you think!!
When I am not working, I enjoy time with my family and friends, biking and kayaking. I am a huge movie fan and lover of art museums, books and dancing (mostly Zumba these days!).
Gratefully Yours,
Susan Cole
RTT Director of Development
*That’s right – I'm
THE Fundraiser
, which is not really accurate because I do not work alone! Hundreds of RTT supporters raise funds via Ride-a-Thons, designating donations to RTT in lieu of gifts (birthday, wedding and anniversary), buying or selling tickets to our events and working at or hosting guests at our Fall Fundraiser, the
Triple B--Boots, Band & BBQ.

Featured Horse of the Week... Sammy!
Sammy is a beautiful bay 21-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding. He is 16.1 hands, but can make himself even taller when he is looking at something he’s concerned about (or interested in)! He has been at the farm for almost a year and his friendly and sweet personality has made him a favorite.

Sammy shares his thoughts with you...
Hello, I am Sammy, aka Sam the Man! I feel that I am fairly distinguished as a tall, handsome, Swedish Warmblood with a fair amount of dressage training in my background (check me out in a show with my owner, Kathleen!).
In the ring, I am a very steady fellow and I can really teach my riders a great deal, especially experienced riders who are learning about advanced work, which I am really quite good at. For the last few months, I have been recovering from a soft tissue injury in my hip but starting THIS week, I can go back to work under saddle! I'm feeling great and am looking forward to being back in work and staying busy. Hope to see you soon!

A message from Cathy!
I miss all my friends at RTT, especially the Saturday morning crew! I live in a 1797 farmhouse in Windham with my husband and two furry, sweet labradoodles and I am a school psychologist. I am an avid weightlifter and have been spending time exploring new places, going on long walks, mountain bike riding with my husband, and reading. I am so lucky to have been able to spend time on the weekends doing barn chores at RTT and spending time with the rock star horses. I love being outdoors and have a veggie garden for the first time in years!
I am thinking of you all, hope that you are safe and healthy and hope to get back to riding and carriage driving soon!
-Cathy
