Sunday

I'm really looking forward to church tomorrow. Though I will miss our Organist & Choir Master, Alan Montgomery who is on a work trip to the South for the Organ building firm for which he works, we are blessed to have Michael Hey with us deputising for Alan.

Michael is the Director of Music at Marble Collegiate Church and sometime organist of St. Patrick's Cathedral. He will be leading the superb choir of Saints Michael & George in some of the Western Churches finest liturgical music (and some of my personal favourites!)

The Ordinary of the Mass (Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Agnus Dei) will be Byrd's Mass for Four Voices. The Anthems will be Palestrina's Sicut cervus and Rossini's Ave Verum Corpus. The hymns will be include: Ye Servants of God, your master proclaim, PADERBORN, Dear Lord and Father of Mankind, REPTON, Eternal Ruler of the Ceaseless Round SONG 1, The Church's One Foundation, AURELIA.

What a treat!

Interview with Father Montgoemry

At the recent Diocesan Synod in Concord, NH, Canon to the Ordinary (priest who assists the Diocesan Bishop), Father Brad Mathias interviewed me on camera about me as a new member of the Diocese and new Vicar of our new congregation. It's a bit long - 17 minutes. I'm thinking of editing it down, but if you have a quarter hour...you can access it below. For those curious about me or our church, it is a somewhat more than shallow dive!

See you Sunday!

in Christ,

Ian
