Lord, Liar, Or Lunatic??? 2/20/22
John 14:6 (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
GOOD MORNING, GOOD AFTERNOON, GOOD EVENING!!!
Wherever YOU are and whenever YOU receive this, I PRAY God's immense BLESSINGS upon YOU!!!
It is 10:50 AM, Sunday 2/20/22 and I AWAKENED (PTL for awakening AGAIN!) at the crack of 10 AM!!!!!!
I had a restless night of UN-sleep but, as THANKFULLY usual, I used my UN-sleep to wrestle with the devil all night long and PRAY and read my Bible.
I urge each of you, when unable to sleep, remind the devil that you are aware of his tactics and you also will simply use that time to seek God!!! You will find yourself growing sleepy almost immediately!!
My dear friend, Mr. Ronnie Jenkins of Knoxville, Tennessee posted a “memory” on FB late last night that I felt deeply as I also am a big fan of Josh McDowell's ancient book entitled “EVIDENCE THAT DEMANDS A VERDICT!”
It reminded me of the starkness of WHO Jesus is!!! I post in its entirety here today-I need not reinvent the wheel.
Jesus Was A Liar?
This week, for the first time in my life, I was confronted with the idea that there were many paths to God. It came up during a conversation that I had with a co worker. It wasn’t confrontational, just a sincere statement of their belief. As I thought about it this morning, this verse came to my mind.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Was Jesus lying when he spoke these words? I don’t think so. Neither do I believe that my friend at work would say that Jesus lied. They were more than likely unaware that Jesus Christ had spoken these words. I found out that the philosophy my friend was espousing was one called inclusivism. There are different ways or paths to God. All are included. The firing line becomes very heated when one lines this up with what Jesus said.
I remember a chapter out of a book by Josh McDowell entitled “Evidence That Demands A Verdict.” The chapter was headed “Lord,Liar,orLunatic?”
Jesus was either who he said he was,The Son of God,Israel’s Messiah,The Savior of humankind,Lord. Or he was a deranged lunatic with a God complex. Or he was something more sinister. A deceiver that led millions of people to a belief in an afterlife that was a deception from the beginning.
The problem that arises with Jesus’s words is singular. The Lord Jesus leaves us no wiggle room does He? The motifs that He employs in the Gospels are very simple and direct. Light against darkness. Majority against minority. And the one for our purposes here..belief as opposed to unbelief. The latter being the problem that the world has with Him. He demands a decision. One either believes what He says or one does not. He leaves no Avenue or pathway of escape does He? If one believes what He says, a place called heaven is their destination. If one does not believe in His singular solution then a place called hell awaits them. That is the only choice Jesus the Lord allows. We either believe in Him or we do not.
When we consider what Jesus said about the condition of mankind, the profound simplicity of His words. Words that strike to the core of our very being about unconditional love, the solution for sin, even the direction that our world is headed in...when we consider not only His words but His actions, a voluntary acceptance of a tortuous death AND a resurrection that validated His earthly life, when we consider Jesus Christ and His love for each and every one of us,what conclusion makes common sense?
Was He a lunatic on the level of a poached egg? Was He a demon from hell that lied and deceived millions, billions into believing He was God? Or is He who He said He was?
Believer or unbeliever?
All we must do is believe.
“I am the way,and the truth, and the life. NO ONE(caps mine) comes to the Father EXCEPT THROUGH ME.” (caps mine)

In closing, beloved, one only needs to peruse the “news” posted DAILY to realize that these are daunting days, perhaps the LAST DAYS we preachers have spent our entire lives warning of.
Matthew 24:6-8 (KJV)
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
The QUESTION demands to be answered by ALL, including EVERYONE of our loved ones..............
Is Jesus Lord of Lords and King of Kings, and soon coming????????????????
Or is Jesus a LIAR or a LUNATIC?????
EVIDENCE THAT DEMANDS A VERDICT!!!
God Bless You,
