Nate Says: Thank You!
As we celebrated our Anniversary Sunday last Sunday, thanks to Kasey Herzberg, The Council and Finance Team, and our Worship & Music Ministry Team, we shared a special time of appreciation and recognition for Nate Thompson for his time given to live streaming and posting our services.

Here is a personal word of thanks from Nate:

I want to take a moment to thank Kasey, and those in leadership on every level who shared
such kind words with me last Sunday, and I want to thank Lord of Life for presenting me with
such a generous and unexpected gift. I was left in shock and completely surprised. Your
messages and words of support and appreciation mean the world to me. I was truly touched
and I am most grateful.

I love providing what I can, flexing my creative muscles in new ways, and I invite others who
want to learn more to talk with me or reach out to me. I also invite you to share our work and
our live-streaming ministries with your friends and family.

Thank you again for your generosity, support, appreciation, and kindness!
Nate

Red Cross Blood Drive
Wednesday, May 12, 12-6 p.m.
Blood Donors & Volunteers Needed
Every two seconds someone needs blood; on average your donation of one unit of blood could save up to three lives!

We are partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive at Lord of Life. This event, Wednesday, May 12, noon-6 p.m., is open to all eligible donors 17 years of age or older (or 16, with parental consent).

Registration to donate blood is open! To register online, go to redcrossblood.org and type Lord of Life in the "Find a Blood Drive" box. Please tell your family and friends, and join us in making this Lord of Life Blood Drive successful!
Aside from donating blood, there are other ways to support our upcoming blood drive! To volunteer to work at the check-in table, or the canteen, sign up here. The access code is Serve.

The need for blood is constant, and you may donate every 8 weeks! If you're not able to donate at Lord of Life on May 12, just head to the St. Paul Area Blood Donation Center, located at 176 Robert Street South (Robert St. & Plato Blvd.) in St. Paul. Or to search for other local blood drives, go to redcrossblood.org.
Women's Ministry Book Club

Meeting in the church garden (weather permitting)
Join us to discuss Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger on Sunday, May 23 at 6 p.m. We will meet in Lord of Life's garden (weather permitting) - please bring a chair.

New Bremen, Minnesota, 1961. The Twins were playing their debut season, ice-cold root beers were selling out at the soda counter of Halderson’s Drugstore, and Hot Stuff comic books were a mainstay on every barbershop magazine rack. It was a time of innocence and hope for a country with a new, young president. But for thirteen-year-old Frank Drum it was a grim summer . . .

Told from Frank’s perspective forty years after that fateful summer, Ordinary Grace is a brilliantly moving account of a boy standing at the door of his young manhood, trying to understand a world that seems to be falling apart around him. It is an unforgettable novel about discovering the terrible price of wisdom and the enduring grace of God.
