Breaking News! We are excited to announce Alex Riffle will be one of the banjo players performing with Junction 63 for several dates this year!
Alex Riffle is a 29 year-old banjo player from Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He has been playing the banjo since the age of 12 and has since played music across the country with multiple bluegrass groups, including Bull Harman & Bull’s Eye, Julian Davis & The Situation, and his own group, Alex Riffle & The Stiff Riffs.
He has released 3 albums and has contributed to numerous other projects. In 2017, he was awarded the SPBGMA Midwest Banjo Performer of The Year award. Alex’s group has performed with and opened the show for many significant performers over the years, including Dr. Ralph Stanley, John McEuen, The Steel Drivers, Pam Tillis, and Dailey & Vincent.”
Alex will be picking the 5 for Junction 63 at the Iowa Theatre on March 26th and other select dates too! We are sure you will enjoy his hard driving banjo style and we are grateful to have him when he’s not burning up the bluegrass road with other groups!! Come see us in Bloomfield!
