One Block Wonder
Saturday March 2 1-3pm

These quilts are addictive! Every hexagon you make is different – and has three options! There are no “Y” seams - it’s all straight line piecing. You can choose to use yardage and make a traditional one (similar to the one in the bottom picture) or you can start with a panel and enlarge it with the hexies (similar to the one in the top picture). Both use the same techniques. We have fabric arriving daily, so you never know what you may find in stock. There is always something wonderful to sew for these beautiful quilts.
Basics Machine Appliqué
Friday March 1 @10 am

Learn all the basics to complete any satin stitch appliqué project. If you have a zigzag stitch on your machine, along with stitch length and width adjustments, you can do this. We will cover straight lines, inside and outside curves, inside and outside corners and points. We will also talk about needle and thread choice, machine settings, and other tips to help you get that beautiful finished look. There will be a skills class in the morning followed by a workshop in the afternoon where you can work on any appliqué project you have waiting for you (maybe a Row by Row, a block of the month or any other project you want support with).
Tokyo Terrace
Saturday March 2 @ 10am

A fabulous quilt for an advanced beginner to intermediate quilter. Lots of color and loads of fun to make. Let your inner color come alive with this eye-catching quilt. Pattern required.

It's A Wrap
Wednesday March 20 @6 pm

You asked for it so here it is! Learn the art of fabric wrapped clothesline. In this three hour class you’ll construct a one-of-a-kind bowl of your choosing from the book ‘It’s a Wrap’. Once you learn the method you’ll be able to make trivets, coasters, bowls, baskets and even rugs to compliment your home or for gift giving. Once you make one project you’ll be hooked! A great stash buster. Book required.
Bird Song
Thursday April 4 @6pm

Join Laurrie to make this fresh, modern, contemporary quilt to welcome spring to your home. If you’ve never done curves before, don’t let that deter you. Perfect Endings
Sunday April 7 @9 am

Dig those projects out of your closet – you are about to get them done! During this full day class you will learn many techniques to help you finish your quilt once it has been quilted. You will go home with small samples of binding with mitered corners, continuous bias binding, two-colour binding - with no hand stitching! You will practice joining the binding “beginning to end” with a seam, the blind stitch for the back of your quilt, the ladder stitch for closing openings on bags, a proper hanging sleeve . . . and more!
