Mayor Tanya Doby and members of the City Council premiered the State of the City address via video during the Good Evening, Los Alamitos! event on November 16, 2023. The footage provides updates on each department, the vision of what's ahead, and the desire to showcase all its accomplishments in how we are the #BCE (BEST, CITY, EVER)

Coming Soon! MyLosAlEngage

We are pleased to announce our up-and-coming Community Engagement Platform. MyLosAlEngage will be our community’s one-stop shop for upcoming projects in the City. It will allow interested parties to learn more about large projects in their community, check the status of a project, learn how to get involved, and sign up for future updates to projects. We hope you’ll find this new tool valuable. This platform will launch by the end of the year!

Residential Permit Parking & Street Sweeping Survey

Upcoming Community Workshops are coming soon! While you attend any of the workshops, you will learn more about neighborhood parking and the current street sweeping schedule. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the survey and provide valuable input.

Winter Wonderland

Join us tomorrow Saturday for the MemorialCare Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 2, from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m.! Everyone is welcome to attend this free event! Come by and check out all the vendors and activities that will be going on throughout the event, including free snow play sponsored by Universal Waste Management, a free ice skating rink sponsored by Southland Credit Union, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, musical stage performances, vendors, inflatables, and more! Free public parking will be available at the Los Alamitos Medical Center parking structure.

Toy Drive

Help make a difference in a child’s life this holiday season and donate to the annual Toy Drive tomorrow Saturday, December 2, at our Winter Wonderland event from 4:00 – 7:30 pm.

Small Business Saturday just passed and we would like to thank everyone who contributed. However, the fun doesn’t stop as we want to encourage residents to spread the joy and visit their favorite coffee shop, dine at your local restaurant, and support your hometown businesses throughout the Holiday season.

Small Business Saturday Recipient

The City of Los Alamitos recognizes Lucky Peak’s Barbershop as this year’s Small Business Saturday recipient, representing the community of small business owners in Los Alamitos who dreamed of starting their own business. Friends since elementary school and locally grown, Joseph Luck and Nathan Peak co-own the shop and pride themselves in providing a warm and welcoming traditional barbershop experience. Come check out their unique shop filled with vintage collectibles and classic memorabilia while getting a fresh cut. 

Joint Forces Training Base

Tree Lighting Ceremony


The Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base invites the community to attend the inaugural Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at JFTB Los Alamitos. For entrance after 4:30 p.m. use Orangewood Gate entrance off of Los Alamitos Blvd. See event details on the flyer. Map, and event guidelines below.
