Open Music Sessions - Friday, September 1

Join us for September's Open Music Sessions, featuring Los Mocochetes, and to help celebrate the 13th anniversary of KGNU.

The party starts outside (700 Kalamath Street) at 7:30 pm with the Countdown Show and KGNU's record/CD sale. Help yourself to free food from Sexy Pizza and beverages from Crazy Mountain Brewing Company in our upstairs lounge.

Open Mus ic Sessions will kick off at 8 pm in Studio A with local comedians, followed by the rabble-rousing Latin blues rock of Los Mocochetes.

Video Production Services Client: Radian Placematters

The Video Services team recently completed a video for Radian Placematters. The video showcases Radian's efforts to build healthy and sustainable communities, particularly their tiny homes project for Denver's homeless community.

New Staff at Open Media Foundation

Please join us in welcoming our new staff.  Joining the Open Media Project team a re Amy Cox and Chris Keeling.  Ari Scott is the Web team's new UX/UI Designer.  And finally, we have Leslie Welch, from Lansing, Michigan, joining the Education Department as an AmeriCorps VISTA .

Member Profile: Nancy Blizzard and Bill Johnson

With 20 show submissions and more coming, the Daisy Blue Fashion Variety Show is going strong on Denver Open Media.

"We have been producing shows since May 2016," explains producer Nancy Blizzard. "We have four shows in post production and our potential guest list continues to grow."

Nancy met the show's co-producer Bill Johnson at Denver Open Media. "I am so grateful for the support of Denver Open Media members who have volunteered their time and effort to be part of the crew for the show."

The Daisy Blue Fashion Variety Show showcases Denver's large community of talented fashion professionals and designers.  "Denver Open Media has given me the opportunity to fulfill my intended goal of hosting a fashion show and has allowed me to spotlight our talented fashion community. The guests are so elated to be on the show to talk about their brand and background."

Submit your content! DOM needs you!

DOM now accepts HD files via Google Drive and Dropbox! Free accounts typically work for small files (usually under 1 GB). Please check out this link for complete instructions on how to submit your content remotely.

Remember, all members are required to submit content!  A DOM membership is required for any content submission, but nonprofits can submit PSAs to Denver Open Media at no charge. Email dom@openmediafoundation.org for more information.

Open Media Foundation and Denver Open Media staff will be on hand to answer your questions about your video projects during this month's Open Media Lab. The lab opens at 6:45 pm on Wednesday, September 20th. Bring your projects and get the help you need!
