Neighborhood Updates
Your Limited District Board of Directors has been working on several projects to enhance the neighborhood and our amenities.

Playground turf: The board has received lots of positive comments about the turf installation at Boulevard Park and is planning to move forward with Phase 2. Turf will be added to additional sections of the park, extending to the sidewalk area. Residents will be notified about temporary park closure(s) for the installation once the date is finalized.

Marshall Tract Annexation: The Limited District has signed an agreement with the developers of the Marshall Tract to annex the property into the District. This will enable the District to collect tax revenue from residents in the new development and allow these new residents to enjoy Lost Creek amenities. The District still needs to receive the City’s approval for the annexation.

Brush Clean up: Winter Storm Mara in February 2023 caused significant downed limbs and tree damage on District greenbelts. The necessary clean up is beyond the District's annual Firewise clearing budget. To address this issue more cost-effectively, the board is pursuing an agreement with the Austin Fire Department and Team Rubicon for additional Firewise clearing. Details of the agreement are still being finalized. If the agreement is secured, residents will be notified about trail closures.
Other Updates

Legislation affecting Lost Creek: HB 3053 was passed by the Texas Legislature and signed by the Governor. The legislation calls for an election relating to disannexation of Lost Creek from the City of Austin. The Limited District did not participate in the preparation or filing of the legislation and takes no position for or against disannexation. The board is seeking additional information from the City and will update residents with any details.

Notary Services: The Limited District Office will have a notary available at the office on Wednesdays and Fridays during regular office hours 8:30am-12:30pm. Please confirm availability by contacting the office: 512-327-6243 or office@LostCreekLD.org.
Reminders

All exterior construction in Lost Creek must be approved by the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). This requirement is in addition to any approval received from the City through its permitting process. More information can be found on the District’s website.

Please encourage your friends and neighbors to sign up for our newsletter. We are trying to reach as many homeowners as possible in the neighborhood.

We want residents to enjoy our neighborhood parks and recreational facilities. To keep our parks and green spaces in great condition, please abide by our park rules. As a reminder, all motorized vehicles such as golf carts are prohibited in District parks. Dogs are prohibited from Lost Creek Boulevard Park and must be on leash at all times in our other parks and greenbelts. Please visit the park rules page for a complete list.

The Lost Creek Limited District Board of Directors meets at least every month in the Lost Creek community building and appreciates any and all input from residents. Upcoming meetings are currently scheduled for July 25 and August 23 at 6:30pm. Additional meeting information and director contact information can be found on the District’s website.
