Us and Them: Telling Our Stories

Recorded by Jay Beaudoin, August 2021 in Lyman Point Park, Hartford, VT

CATV's YouTube channel features local content telling our collective story and reflecting who we are.

Last summer members of the housed and unhoused communities joined in a month-long collaboration facilitated by Pati Hernandez, creator of Telling My Story, to share their stories toward overcoming invisible walls of class, race, and gender difference that divide us. View their culminating performance here.

Telling Our Stories – reclaiming voice through art

Us and Them: Seeing Each Other, Seeing Ourselves

This winter CATV is partnering with Pati Hernandez for a 12-week storytelling collaboration, bringing the documentary camera into the Telling My Story process to reclaim and empower our voices through the media arts. Culminating film and performance projects coming this spring to the Briggs Opera House.

Intersections: Episode 2

Our second Upper Valley guest shares a vision of how our cycles of life feed the source of community, amongst humans and throughout the natural world, offering a gentle map of the small things that bring us together: harvesting tomatoes, the neighbor’s mailbox, the porcupine, the cockroach, the softening of the eyes.
