Late 18th or very early 19th century “Keeler” in original black paint. It is in very good condition. Note the hand done woven lap joints at the ends. Beautifully made! It measures 7” x 5.5” x 4.5” tall. Great surface and patina too!

Northwest Coast Totem Pole in its original dry paint. Especially nice workmanship and fine detail. It has its original label on the back from “Ye Olde Curiosity Shop / Seattle”. This Shop has been a magnet for collectors and curiosity seekers, history buffs and bargain hunters, Ye Olde Curiosity Shop has thrilled visitors from Seattle and around the world for more than 115 years. The best paint, surface, and patina!

Very unusual 19th century Tin Whale Oil Lamp. It is in outstanding perfect condition with a nice mellow patina. This is a form I have not seen before. It measures 6.5” in diameter x 9” tall!

Rare Georgian Paktong Cann. It is in very good condition and measures almost 7” tall. The body is dovetailed up the side behind the handle. Great form and not something we find very often.

Unusual double handled 19th century Redware Vessel. Believed to be of Western NY origin and having a pleasing glaze inside and out. It measures a small 6.5” x 4” x 5” tall and is in perfect condition.

A great pair of well used Civil War Era youth boots. I just loved all the wear, and the way they were constructed all by hand. They stand almost 9” tall.

Early 19th century carved one piece paddle with the longest crooked handle I have ever seen. What a great form, condition, and patina. You won’t find another like this one. It measures 12” long.

Nice early Brass Wax Jack. It measures about 4” x 3” x 5.5” tall. It is in excellent condition, note the three hearts in the base... it is very decorative.

Hand wrought 18th century Iron Door Handle with fanciful rat tail decorations at both ends. Old but not the first coat of old white paint. Great form and size! It measures 17” long x 2.5” wide.

Ron’s Take:

Although it has been in Business since 2016, here is a place, “ROOST” that has escaped me until yesterday. Luckily as has happened many times before our Food Guru M.J. suggested that we meet her and Joe there for brunch, so that’s what we did, and I can’t wait to go back. This place has a great energetic vibe in an old, converted warehouse along the Niagara River on Buffalo’s West Side. Tucked away on the first floor where you enter through a long somewhat hidden hallway to a bright and vibrant ambiance. It was very welcoming. Apparently, the menu changes often. Seemed like a nice place to just stop off for a drink, if not dinner. Photos below:
