The start of school is always such an exciting time. This newsletter is full of events and updates to keep you informed and involved in what we're doing. We want to you to stay connected with us and hope that some of these book discussions, ribbon cuttings, workshops, and dedications are of interest to you.
None of these events would be possible without support from our community members. Please let me take a minute to thank those that consistently step up to help support our students, academic programs, athletic teams, and student support services: Thank you to all the alumni who have recently donated in support NHTI Cares and to help pay off student account balances. Thank you to New Boston Dental Care for the donation of equipment for our Dental Hygiene students. Thank you to Tasker Landscaping for donating plants to make our campus and events look beautiful. Thank you to Northeast Delta Dental for making the Jen Kemp Road Race a success. Thank you to Eastern Bank for always making sure that our events have bottled water. Thank you to RAM Printing for supporting out Athletics Hall of Fame event. Thank you to all the students, faculty, and staff that donate items to keep our Lynx Food Pantry stocked and ready to help those facing food insecurity.

Practicing mindfulness helps you succeed academically and professionally, thrive at a personal level, live a satisfying life, and connect with yourself and others.
This 4-part virtual speaker series, held Mondays in October from 5-6:30 p.m., invites you to explore how mindfulness can help us address challenges that have become central to our society over the last year. Personal and interpersonal insight can help build communities that foster connection, opportunity, health, and fulfillment.

Visual Arts Program Celebration
|
NHTI is part of this years Capital Arts Fest taking place at various locations throughout Concord Sept. 24-26.
We're celebrating with a Saturday, Sept. 25, 10 a.m. ribbon cutting of the refurbished Farnum Hall, which is the new home for the Visual Arts program.
From 10 a.m.-3 p.m., close to a dozen NHTI alum will have their art on display for the event. Dan Tavis will have items for sale, which is an extra special treat.
For those that want to show off their artistic side, we'll have an interactive art project to participate in that will be displayed on campus.
We look forward to celebrating the arts with you!

Please join us on Thursday, Oct. 7, at 5:45 p.m. as we honor Mary Stuart Gile, the founder of the Early Childhood Education Program and Child Development Center at NHTI, with the renaming of the Center in her honor.

Data Analytics for Business Microcredential

Advances in computing power have led to a massive explosion in the amount of data available for analysis. But many businesses don’t take advantage of the opportunities for analyzing their data, and miss out on opportunities to improve their bottom line.
This 6-week series, starting Oct. 19, covers an introduction to analytics and common analytics tools and methods, providing today’s professionals with an understanding of what it means to lead with data while actively working with visual datasets to develop best practices to tell a story or make an impact.
