On Saturday, February 18th, Fremont CERT hosted the Lake County Health Department's Pandemic Exercise. This annual exercise prepares the county for any epidemic caused by disease or malicious acts of individuals or groups. CERT members from around the county attended the practice in which applicants were registered, interviewed and finally given medication for themselves and/or other family members or neighbors. This preparedness exercise for the county and its' residents is supported by Homeland Security. The exercise lasted for 4 hours as participants trained in helping the general public get help in a dangerous pandemic situation.
