January in the Tri-State Region: Connect, Celebrate & Share
From Lisa Duntz Nypert
Happy New Year, Tri-State Chamber members!
I’m excited to introduce a new feature in our weekly newsletter: From Where I Sit.
From Where I Sit is where I’ll share a few thoughts from the week—things I’m hearing from members, highlights from around the Tri-State, and the occasional “only around here” moment. Consider it a friendly check-in and a reminder that great things are happening all around us.
As we step into January, the Northwest Connecticut region is buzzing with activity—from cultural happenings and outdoor adventures to Chamber gatherings and new opportunities to connect with neighbors and friends. We’re excited to kick off another year of collaboration, growth, and community engagement across the Tri-State area.
Murphy Open
We’re excited to bring back the Murphy Open again this year! It will be held on Monday, June 8, at Fairview Farm Golf Course in Harwinton.
We are currently looking for sponsors, raffle prizes, and—of course—lots and lots of golfers. Please reach out if you’re interested in donating, sponsoring, or playing.

We Want to Share Your News!
Is your business hosting an event this month? Launching something new? Celebrating a milestone or community initiative? We’d love to help spread the word.
👉 Please submit your news and events for inclusion in our weekly newsletters and on our social platforms. The Chamber thrives when members share, support, and celebrate one another.
Send submissions to newsletter.tsc.news@gmail.com.

Our Business After Hours events take place monthly, usually on the third Thursday, and we’re always looking for members interested in showcasing their business by hosting one.
Dates are flexible—after all, these events are designed for you! If you’d like to host one of these fun and valuable networking opportunities, reach out to me at

Membership Renewal Reminder
As we begin a new year of growth and opportunity, we encourage you to take a moment to review your membership status. Invoices are sent via email. If you’ve had a change in contact information or have not received your invoice, please contact us at treasurer@tristatechamber.com.
Renewing your Tri-State Chamber membership ensures continued access to valuable benefits, including networking events, promotional exposure, advocacy, and exclusive member resources. Your ongoing participation helps strengthen our collective presence and impact throughout the region—thank you for being part of this community.
Website Update
We are currently redesigning our website to create a more user-friendly experience. The updated site will feature a calendar of events, improved navigation, and streamlined access to the most up-to-date member listings. These enhancements will make it easier to find information quickly and stay informed about Chamber activities.
We can’t do this alone. Keeping the website accurate and current depends on our members. Whether you’re hosting an event, hiring, celebrating a milestone, or have updates to share, we encourage you to send your information to us. Your participation helps ensure the website remains a valuable and reliable resource for our entire community.
Our goal is to complete the redesigned website by late February, so please stay tuned and continue checking back for updates.
Wishing everyone a successful start to 2026. We look forward to connecting with you at events across the Tri-State area throughout the year.
Here's to what's next,
