Join us for COSA “orientation” at our October monthly meeting! We will host a special in-person discussion about what the COSA network is, what benefits COSA members receive, and what programming / speakers you and your staff teams may want to see at our meetings this year. If you’ve attended COSA meetings in the past, we encourage you to invite someone new to COSA to attend with you! Bring a friend or colleague (or two!), and know that we will also have time for any announcements from your organization that you’d like to share.

We will answer questions like: how are the COSA speakers and presentation topics chosen? How does someone become a board member? Why are some meetings in person and some held via Zoom? And anything else you might have been wondering about COSA!

Tuesday, October 8th at 10:am-11:30am

On September 24th, 2024, MPHA shared news that marks a new chapter in their work and mission. "As we continue our commitment to advance health equity and drive bold systemic change across Massachusetts, we are evolving to better reflect the heart of our work and the powerful partnerships that fuel it. Our new logo was designed to reflect the fundamental building blocks of good health on which we work – things like transportation, housing, food, and environmental justice as well as critical public health infrastructure. The ways the elements overlap and connect remind us of the intersectionality of these issues and that people’s lived experiences are multidimensional." Read more about how this embodies their work.

ChildTrends offers a toolkit for a comprehensive approach to wellness for all school staff. While back-to-school time is an occasion for school systems to set their priorities and align resources to ensure a successful school year, many focus exclusively on students’ needs and fail to address the needs that ensure their staff members’ well-being. When this occurs, schools miss out on opportunities to reduce school system costs, foster positive working conditions, and improve outcomes for students.
