Welcome to our New Physical Therapist, Joseph Murray!
Volunteers in Medicine is happy to announce the return of Joseph Murray, Physical Therapist , as a volunteer at the clinic. Joe volunteered his services in an outpatient setting at Gem Therapeutics in Wilkes-Barre several years ago.  He most recently returned to the clinic offering his services to our patients twice per month at our facility. With sincere gratitude and appreciation, we wish to thank Joe for the needed rehabilitation he can offer to those who are experiencing pain and discomfort with their activities of daily living.
Welcome to our New Students and Residents
Madhuri Uppalapati and Halime El-Haymoussa were our Geisinger Family Medicine Residents in Feburary!
Glorymardy Cruz will be at VIM every other Tuesday. She is a student of the University of Scranton's Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Haylie Phillips and Casey Ziac are both part of the P4 program at Wilkes University . Haylie hopes to work in a hospital setting upon graduation. Casey hopes to practice at a community pharmacy, hopefully in South Carolina. Both women wanted to volunteer at VIM to experience pharmacy in the ambulatory care setting and at a nonprofit.

Dr. Caroline Baran and Dr. Stephanie Ellis are two residents from Geisinger Family Medicine who spent some time in March at VIM.

Volunteer Gynecologists Needed
As the number of patients we serve grows, so does the need to provide women's health services. Dr. Lynne Coslett-Charlton, Dr. Sandy Mattison and Dr. Martin Freifeld have been generously volunteering for many years. The demand warrants the need for additional gynecologists. If you know of a provider who may be interested in volunteering, please have them call Kelly Ranieli at 570-970-2864 or .
Volunteer Dental Assistants Needed
We are in need of dental assistant volunteers. Our dental clinic has increased visits since Dr. Singh signed on board, in collaboration with our dedicated volunteer dentists. The clinic is in need of dental assistants to help combat the waiting list of patients in dire need of dental treatment. Prospective volunteers can call Darcie Schaffer at 570-970-2864.
