We wanted to send out our July News early as we have lots to share!
Firstly, we wanted to take a moment to address our position on recent World events as, undoubtedly, politics, police brutality and racism have all been hot topics while conversing with those of you who have sat in our chairs over the past two weeks.
As hairdressers, we are given a position of trust and the team at JOY takes pride in our safe and inclusive environment. We appreciate that our clients honor diversity.
We stand in solidarity with all marginalized groups and we will not tolerate any racism or hatred in our salon.

Many of you have reached out to ask about the whereabouts of Jelena.
Jelena has taken a full time job opportunity at Rogers Sugar, however already misses us, you and having her hands in hair! She will be in the salon on the FIRST SATURDAY of every month and is now open for appointments starting in July. Book with Jelena

We are happy to see salon life getting back to normal-ish as Kim also extends her hours to join us in the salon on Thursdays and on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month (in addition to Sundays) starting in July.
PPE Disposal
If you haven't heard, we are pleased to announce that our salon recycling program will now be accepting PPE.
Given the new safety measures put in place, salons have a lot of contaminated waste from gloves and masks that need to be repurposed safely. Green Circle Salons have created a PPE bin that will house all of this material. This material will go through a waste-to-energy stream and will be used to create CLEAN energy. Our box will be arriving soon, if you have any disposable masks/gloves that you would like to keep from the landfill, please feel free to drop them off (in a sealed plastic bag) to us!
