2024 NTC UWFaith Leadership Team at the Annual Celebration

What a celebration! It was wonderful to gather with so many friends and people important to us over the years! The 2024 Leadership Team (pictured) presented a great event. We reflected on not only what was done in the past year, but also in the many years as the women of North Texas. Our keynote speaker, Mary Brooke Casad, made it special with a touch of history and inspiration. Abide CEO Cessilye R. Smith's presentation was powerful, our support for improving the disparities in maternal health remains strong, and she was so thankful for our broad support. Please send us your photos and we'll add them to our event photo album. If you were not able to be with us, click to watch the live stream recording.

What's next? I hope you'll join us in Abilene for the New Dawning of the Horizon Texas Conference UWFaith! See info below. Reply with questions.

Recovering the Stories trailer

EXPLORING HISTORY & RESILIENCE IN DALLAS COMMUNITIES

Dallas Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (Dallas TRHT) and KERA presents a timely series of six mini-documentary episodes exploring undertold narratives of the places and people in Dallas.

Stories of Fair Park, South Dallas, East Dallas, West Dallas, Little Mexico and the Freedman Towns of Dallas are told with interviews, images, news clips and more. You'll learn about descendants of the enslaved, immigrants, indigenous, and people displaced by war-- all of which has made North Texas into what it is today. The 6 episodes range from 9 - 15 minutes long. Watch at KERA.org/dallas-stories.
