Held under the theme, “Both/And – Doing Missions Locally and Globally,” the event brings together almost 200 Lott Carey partners as well as church pastors, leaders and missioners for worship, prayer, study, and planning.

Littycia Clay-Crawley, pastor, New L.I.F.E. Community Church, Aylett, Virginia; and Rev. Dr. Judy Fentress-Williams, professor of Old Testament at Virginia Theological Seminary and the senior assistant to the pastor for Teaching and Preaching at ASBC.

Among the issues to be explored are, “The Integral Role of Mental Health for Pastors and People,” led by Dr. Latasha Morgan, assistant to the pastor for Counseling at ASBC; "Hurt & Hope: God's Hand in Post Traumatic Growth,” by Rev. Dr. Micah McCreary, president of New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey; and "A Pan-African Mission Vision for the Now and the Future” by Rev. Dr. Angelique Walker-Smith, president, World Council of Churches, North America.

In addition, a session on "Money and Depression" will be led by Minister Eric Edwards, Jr., associate minister, St. Paul Baptist Church, Charlotte, North Carolina; and “The Both/And Imperative to Build Beloved Community” by Rev. Adam Taylor, president of Sojourners.

Lott Carey Executive Secretary-Treasurer Rev. Emmett Dunn will lead a session titled, “Is it Worth It? The Evolution of Lott Carey Mission and Its Impact on Human History.”

Guest musical artist will be Minister Kabanya Vinson, recording artist, producer, arranger, and choir director at Shiloh Baptist Church in Alexandria.

A community worship service will be held at ASBC on Thursday, March 16, that is open to the public. Though not live streamed, a recorded version of the community service will be available for a later broadcast.

Except for the community service at Alfred Street, all conference sessions will be held at the Old Town Sheraton hotel on Asaph Street in Alexandria.
