This remarkable scholarship was established by Ronald, a Loughlin alum, and Janet Stride to send Loughlin graduates to Providence College in Rhode Island. The first student chosen was Linda Ineus, a May 2018 graduate (pictured to the right). She came to Loughlin from St. Catherine of Genoa in East Flatbush. Linda is studying Biology and is preparing for a career in Veterinary Science. The second scholar chosen was Anastasia Hussett, 2020, who hailed from IS 211 John Wilson in Canarsie. Anastasia currently studies Political Science with the goal of becoming a lawyer.

The Stride family was so pleased with our graduates’ performance at Providence that they unexpectedly offered the third scholarship to a Loughlin graduate; Ronan McGouran, 2021, (pictured to the left) attended Mark Twain IS 239 near Coney Island and Gravesend. Ronan plans to study Economics and play basketball at Providence.

At the current tuition, along with room and board, each student’s scholarship is valued at $280,000 over four years.
