Louie's Bacon Walk/Run!

Father's Day Weekend
Walk or Run - 1-mile or 2-mile course

Cost: Free!

Free Bacon Samples at the finish line!

Participants will receive a Louie's Discount token & giveaways for the kids. Sign up for prizes!

Prizes awarded to the male and female first place run finishers!

Sign up to win door prizes, including a Bacon-opoly Game, Makin' Bacon Game, and more!

The Bacon Run/Walk course will be the same as past years. Start at the Louie's Maypole, turn around at Wickre Drive for a 1-mile course or the end of Jeffrey Blvd for a 2-mile course. No official timing, but there will be a prize for the first male and female to cross the line in the 2-mile run.

Stop inside Louie's Lodge for free Bloody Mary samples made with Trumie's Bacon-Flavored Vodka.

Recipe: Chocolate Covered Bacon
Only four ingredients and perfect for a dessert or gift.

Ingredients for 12 strips
12 slices Louie's thick-cut bacon, cooked
2 cups semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
1 tbsp shortening
Chocolate Sprinkles

Directions
  • Cover work area with wax paper. Put chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for about 45 seconds. Stir and add one tablespoon of shortening. Return to microwave for another 15 seconds. Repeat as needed until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • Dip the cooled bacon into the chocolate to cover completely. Let excess chocolate drain off before setting on the wax paper. Sprinkle on the chocolate sprinkles.
  • Allow to cool completely. Enjoy!

Louie's Brat Haus is open Thursday, Friday, & Saturday in Louie's Parking Lot. Louie's Brat Haus benefits a wide variety of local non-profit and youth groups who use the Brat Haus as a fundraiser. The Brat Haus serves Louie's Brats, Hot Dogs, Chips, Pop, and Water.

11th Annual Taste in Cumberland

It will be another great event with plenty of good food and beverages, benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Barron County (Cumberland Middle School Extension).
