Recipe: Bratwurst Supper

Great for camping! Grill in foil packets.

Ingredients

3 pound Louie's Fresh Traditional Bratwurst

3 pounds Baby Red Potatoes, cut into wedges

1 pound Baby Carrots

1 large Red onion, sliced and separated into rings

1/2 pound Mushrooms

1/4 cup Butter, cubed

1 envelope Onion Soup Mix

2 tbsp Soy Sauce

1/2 tsp Pepper

Directions

• Make 2 foil packets. Arrange a double thickness of heavy-duty foil (about 17 x 15 inches) on a flat surface.
• Cut brats into thirds. Divide the brats, potatoes, carrots, onion, and mushrooms evenly between the 2 foil rectangles. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with soup mix, soy sauce, and pepper. Bring edges of foil together, crimp to seal, forming 2 large packets. Seal tightly.
• Grill covered, over medium heat for about 25 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Open foil. carefully to allow steam to escape.
• Serve!

Louie's Brat Haus is open for several more dates in Louie's Parking Lot. Louie's Brat Haus benefits a wide variety of local non-profit and youth groups who use the Brat Haus as a fundraiser. The Brat Haus serves Louie's Brats, Hot Dogs, Chips, Pop, and Water.
