Hwy 63 Bridge Closed: No Bridge, No Problem!

Construction Update

The Highway 63 bridge just south of Louie's Finer Meats is closed for the forseeable future.

*If you're coming from the north, you can drive to us as normal.

*If you're arriving from any other direction and would usually use the Highway 63 bridge, find an alternate route - the shortest route is to follow our detour signs going north on 8th Street from Highway 48, 1.5 miles east of Cumberland. Program Louie's into Google Maps or your favorite GPS app.

*If you are walking or riding a bike, there is a pedestrian path through the construction area.

Please note that the official bridge detour will not bring you to us, so be sure to watch for our signs instead. It is a short, scenic drive that adds only about 5 minutes to your normal trip.

We truly appreciate your patience, your support, and your extra effort to keep shopping local. As always, please drive respectfully near our neighbors. The alternate route is not designed for high speeds. We'll see you on the other side.

Heading north? You will be able to go straight north from here on Highway 63 without returning to the detour.

Happy Independence Day!

Celebrating 250 years!

We are stocked up with everything you need for grilling this holiday weekend!

Give us a call at 715-822-4728 to place an order and we can have it ready when you get here. Travel safe and see you soon.

Thanks for making the 2026 Bacon Run a great event!

We'll see you next year - always Father's Day weekend.

Recipe: Sweet Bourbon Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Bacon Cheddar Scones are a perfect combination of crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and a buttery scone. Ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a snack, these scones are packed with flavor and can be enjoyed on their own or with a side of butter or sour cream. They’re easy to make and will be a hit!

Ingredients:

  • 2 pork tenderloins (about 1 lb. each)
  • 1/4 cup strong black coffee, cold or room temperature
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 3 tablespoons dark molasses or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra-virgin
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped or dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh black pepper

Instructions:

  • Trim off any silver skin that remains on the pork tenderloins.

  • Place them in a shallow container or large resealable bag. Set aside.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the coffee, bourbon, molasses, vinegar, olive oil, and thyme. Pour the marinade over the pork, and turn to coat on all sides. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight. (Turn the pork a few times to evenly distribute the marinade.)

  • When you’re ready to cook the pork, prepare a hot fire in a charcoal or gas grill, and let the coals turn to gray ash with a slight red glow. Keep the coals on one side of the grill to create areas of direct and indirect heat. (If using a gas grill, heat just one side on medium.)

  • Remove the pork from the marinade, reserving the marinade. Season pork with salt and pepper.

  • Boil marinade for 5 minutes before using to baste pork tenderloin.

  • Place the pork on the hot grill directly over the coals, and cook for about 12 to 15 minutes.

  • Baste with the reserved marinade and turn three or four times to avoid charring.

  • Move the pork away from the coals, close the grill or cover the pork with foil, and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, until an internal thermometer inserted in the tenderloin reads 145-degrees for medium or 160-degrees for well.

  • Remove the pork from the grill, and transfer to a cutting board. Cover loosely with foil, and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Slice the pork into small medallions (1/4 to 1/2 inch thick), sprinkle with a little salt (if you like) and serve warm.
