Louisiana Scholarship Program Parent Meeting |
|
We know that you are busy celebrating the long awaited Holiday Season. I just wanted to quickly remind you that next week the State of Louisiana, parents, and a number of groups opposing the Louisiana Scholarship Program will return to court for a trial in defense of the program. On Monday November 26, 2012 at
6:00pm our team will host an informational meeting for scholarship parents and supporters at Hosanna Christian Academy, 8850 Goodwood Blvd in Baton Rouge, to provide an update on the lawsuit.
On the morning of the court hearing, November 28, 2012, the Black Alliance for Educational Options will be among a number of groups standing in support of parents at an 8:15am press conference on the steps of the 19th Judicial District Court Building, 300 North Blvd in Baton Rouge.
Please consider joining us for both the parent meeting and the press conference. While lawsuits have been filed in an effort to kill the scholarship program, scholarship parents and those who've applied for the program will be speaking up on why this program is so critical for our children who need it most.
Please call 800.372.8073 extension 809 to confirm your availability to attend both events. Your voice must be heard and we need your help as we all stand up for our children.
Thanks,
Eric B. Lewis Louisiana State Director
