Effective February 1, 2018, the 2015 International Building, 2015 International Residential Code, 2015 International Existing Building Code, 2015 International Plumbing Code, 2015 International Mechanical Code, 2015 International Fuel Gas Code, and 2014 National Electrical Code with any Louisiana amendments for a respective code shall be effective for any projects submitted on or after February 1, 2018.

National Register Review Committee
National Register Review Committee is accepting applications to fill vacant spots on the committee.
The committee is required to include professionals in history, archaeology, architectural history, historical architecture, and architecture. We also have nonprofessional members with a strong interest in historic preservation. The current open positions are for an architectural historian and a historic architect. An architectural historian, per Federal regulations , is defined as a professional who has a graduate degree in architectural history, art history, historic preservation, or a closely related field, and at least two years of experience in said field. An historic architect is a licensed professional architect with at least one year of graduate study in historic preservation or one year of full time professional experience on historic preservation projects.
The committee meets three times a year in Baton Rouge. Review Committee members serve on a volunteer basis and without reimbursement.
