Hello OLOL Families,
I hope everybody enjoyed the NFL Draft 2025 experience, both if you attended or if you needed to get around town. I want to thank everyone for making it a seamless event at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. We didn't see any disruption at school and I want to thank all of you that helped last week.
I want to apologize for the small hiccup we had with the new Gaga pit. It appears that we used the incorrect mesh on the bottom. I am working with the Eagle Scout, who built the Gaga Pit. I hope we can find a long term solution and get it ready for student use. The kids have been very patient, and I appreciate it. Hopefully we will be able to use it later this week.
In case you missed it, Bounce into Summer is Saturday, May 31st. We hope you can join us for the 4:30pm mass. Afterwards, we will have bounce houses and food trucks. We have invited all of the new families for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a great chance for you to introduce yourselves and meet our new families. All existing and new families are welcome!
I just wanted to remind you that we still have a full month of school. My old basketball coach taught us that it's not how you start the game, but more importantly, how you finish it. I hope that all the staff and students embrace this philosophy, and we finish off the school year with so much success.
Our middle school students are going to Our Lady of Good Help in Champion later this week. We are so blessed to have this so close to our community.
Yesterday we held our annual Our Lady of Lordes Science Fair. One of my favorite activities as a student was the science fair. As principal now I get to walk around and see all of the great projects the students put together. Thank you to Mrs. Sharon Johnson for organizing and putting this science fair on.
“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambition. Small people always do that. But the really great ones make you feel that you, too, can become great.” Mark Twain

OLOL School Library News
Children’s Book Week is May 5- May 11.
We are going to celebrate by having a Book Swap amongst the students.
Would your child like some different books to read? Do you have books at home that your child has read and doesn’t want any more?
Each student can bring 1-3 books to the school starting Friday, May 2, until Wednesday, May 7. I’ll record how many they bring. On Friday morning (May 9), students will be called to the library to choose that many books to take
home from the books contributed.
I’m hoping our Book Swap is a big success and the kids enjoy it.
Mrs. Brys
