Dear OLOL Families,
The Polar Vortex created a little bit of havoc with our schedule this week. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we had to move some things around. Hopefully we will not have any interruptions in our Catholic School Week plans next week.
I feel the Catholic Schools Week Committee has done a good job of creating experiences for students, staff, and families that celebrate our Catholic School. Being affiliated with Catholic education and in particular Catholic education at OLOL fills my heart with joy. My hope is all stakeholders are able to place Jesus in their hearts as that leads to all good things in life. It leads us to be the people God wanted us to be and untapped the unlimited potential that God has for us.
All our existing families should be receiving the link to re-enroll on Friday, January 24th. I am asking if you could please re-enroll the week of Catholic Schools week, January 26th through February 1st for a couple of reasons. First, the enrollment fee for that week is $50 per family. After that week it jumps up to $100. Secondly, and most importantly is for planning purposes. I am planning on adding another section of 3rd grade and 4th grade. This will require additional staff, rooms, and furniture. The sooner I can show the numbers of needing additional sections, the sooner I can start on the plans.
As always, I hope all of you are planning on returning next year. Each family and student have a special place in my heart and want to continue to build those relationships.
Congratulations to Raven Lambert, who was named a Golden Apple Teacher of Distinction. This is a great honor and well deserved. Mrs. Lambert’s strength is building relationships with students and delving deep into any struggles students may encounter. We are so blessed to have Mrs. Lambert at OLOL. Congratulations Mrs. Lambert on this honor.
“A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person. And a good Catholic school, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints” - Pope Benedict 16th.

Jeffrey Young - Principal
